Managing Projects Does Not Mean Change is Effectively Managed

I share with you here an interesting case study (courtesy of ChangeFirst) about how Network Rail integrated it’s own People Centred Implementation methodology with the Managing Successful Programmes methodology to form an overarching change framework. In simplistic terms they recognised that Project Management is about managing the technical side of the change, with Change Management (the people side of change) being an approach to helping engage individuals and teams, build support, address resistance and develop the knowledge and ability to implement the change.
