Dear Social Inclusion……

Following our suggestion that we network together, I would like to thank you for the opportunity you have given me to write to you.  I believe you may have an interest in some of the services I offer, so please allow me to take this opportunity to share more information with you and your network.

Our Mission and Aims

GuideDotYou’s offer for pre-start and start-up businesses is to advise, nurture and provide practical support and delivery services to people with ambitions to start up, grow and succeed in business.

With ability to pass on the benefits of and lessons learned from our own recent start-up experience, GuideDotYou aims to provide people with access to the basic advice, mentoring and practical delivery services that a brand new business needs in its pre-start phase and during its first year of operation.

It is essential to provide help to reduce the high proportion of new businesses that fail to make it through the first year. So GuideDotYou helps by simplifying the process of starting a business, helping with navigation through the complexities and assisting pre-start and new businesses to reduce and assist in overcoming the barriers to progress they face.

Starting Blocks

Our pre-start and start-up Business Services

GuideDotYou’s Start-Up Business Services take two specific, yet complementary forms. Annexed to this letter to you is information about our “Introduction To Starting Your Business” taster group workshop.

You will note that I take the view that being in employment or self-employment should promote experiences of positive wellbeing, including improved self-esteem, motivation, improved general and mental health, and reduced psychological distress.  I believe that being in work, compared to not working, should be therapeutic, improve quality of life and lead to better health outcomes.

GuideDotYou knows that many people face challenges and barriers to being employed, including those associated with protected characteristics such as race, gender and disability.

I and the expert associates I work with on these services also know that many people have the talents and skills to be enterprising and desire to support peoples’ beliefs that self-employment is a realistic career option for them.  We wish to work with people who we know have the talent and potential to become self-employed, and could succeed if only they were to benefit from the correct levels of support and guidance.

Start Your Business Essentials is a personally tailored package of services that helps them to do this, by simplifying the, what are complex, start-up processes for and with them, something which I believe could be of great advantage to many of your service users.

By assisting new businesses in this way, GuideDotYou believes, through its support mechanisms, it can provide robust opportunities for new businesses to learn, develop, grow and feel a real sense of achievement.

I recently wrote about the Social Impact of Business Start-Ups, which I believe will be of interest to you.

I welcome the opportunity for further engagement with you, to consider the extent to which GuideDotYou services will help you, or some of your service users deliver very positive employability, health and wellbeing outcomes.
