I’ve just been reading a study book on change management from about 17 years ago.
My study task was to identify changes that were happening in the workplace, then consider the levels of resistance to change and what could be done about it.
So people actually did resist the replacing of DOS based software like Wordperfect 5.1 then! (Younger readers may need to Google or Wikipedia that one!) And people did actually wonder what was coming and put up barriers to the introduction of Windows packages like Word, Excel and Powerpoint!
So what are today’s equivalents, where people in the workplace don’t like something that will become the norm within a few years or sooner?
